They do not run a background check on us at Gary’s because we have concealed carry permits. I’m not sure if they will at Bass Pro Shop. But in any case, we will wake up in the morning, go to Bass Pro Shop, and drive back to the farm with a new firearm. I’m hoping we can also squeeze in some Indian food.
Emily Miller does not live in The Sovereign State of Mississippi. She is a resident of The District of Columbia, and she’s trying to buy a gun and bring it into DC– where she has a right to keep and bear arms.

Who is Emily Miller? As No Layers, Only Guns & Money puts it:
Emily Miller is an attractive, well-educated (Georgetown), well-spoken young woman with a high profile position as a senior editor with the Washington Times. Before that she was the deputy press secretary for both Secretary of State Colin Powell and Condolezza Rice. If someone like her with all of her connections has this much trouble exercising her Constitutional right to own a firearm for her own self-defense in her own home, imagine what it is like for everyone else who isn’t as bright, articulate, and connected.
As of today, her gun is in a store in Virginia, but she still does not have a gun. She’s chronicling her adventures here.
