I read that yesterday was the most depressing day of the year. It is not clear to me how one measures that, but the claim was that the third Monday in January is just the worst. The holidays are long gone. School and work are back to normal. The weather stinks and the bills have come due.

The moral of this story is that when life gives you a pile of
crappy old bones, another of crappy old books, and a priceless art collection, you can always cheer yourself up on the most depressing day of the year.
