“Got a call at seven forty-five that we’d lost power.”
That’s what the nice lady at the Power Association said when I asked why we had no electricity.
I can laugh about it right now for several reasons. First, it’s only been out a few minutes. I may not be laughing in a few hours. Second, it’s tornado preparedness week. One of the things you do to prepare for a tornado is prepare for the power to go out. What good practice!
Funnier still is that I was just getting ready to sit down and share some Mississippi silliness with you. So since I ain’t got nothin’ else to do since the power’s out and all, I might as well go ahead with that.
Shoot. That’s going to have to wait after all. Somebody’s a little too wound up this morning. Looks like a trip to the pasture.
