I received a THIRD– 3rd– polling call today just moments ago, at 8:19pm.

I understand that in a state with a population of fewer than 3M people our phone number is bound to come up more frequently in a “random” survey of voters than in, say, Ohio. But Dude. Three calls in one day?

I didn’t answer any questions. I refused to participate which isn’t like me because I do love answering pollsters’ questions and seriously messing with their demographic. But I know what’s going on. They want to get a bead on Prop 42 and Alt Prop 42.

I’m not helping. In fact, I am hindering. I do my best to keep you on the phone answering my questions about who’d you say you’re with again? and where’d you say you are located? and is that New York the city or New York the state of? and Florida? Really? You don’t sound like you’re from Florida. I am keeping you from surveying someone who will answer your questions. I am wasting your time. Not that you care. But the stats guy might.

Though honestly I doubt that the stats guy does anything more interesting than plug numbers into a spread sheet. He ain’t Michael Baron.

Still. I feel as if I am doing my small part to confound the system.
