Who’s to say with any real authority that mermaids don’t/didn’t exist? We all know that NHST is bunk– least that’s what the psychologists tell us, though why psychologists are interested in the existence of mermaids is … a question.
NHST = null hypothesis significance testing which the psychologists think is bunk. I’m not really convinced.
