Set up: I left Farther Along Farm, Mississippi at about 7:30am on July 6th, landing in Chapel Hill, North Carolina about 8pm (eastern). Record time. I returned just the day before yesterday. During those two weeks– and of course in addition to welcoming Baby Bunny– I kept my eyes open as best as I could. (Yes. I mean this literally as well as figuratively– Baby Bunny took his own sweet time making his way into the outside world, and once here… . Well, he’s a baby for Heaven’s sake & I’m a grammy. We slept as we could.)
Anyhoo– keeping my eyes open meant I made some observations about the World Beyond the Farm. Accordingly, …
I would like to personally thank the Good Lord Almighty for all of the Flying J’s and BBQ joints along interstates 20 & 85.
As you may recall from your own driving days, J’s and Q’s are particularly difficult to find when playing the alphabet-sign game (you know, “A: Alabama!” “B: Bridges ices… “).
