Within the last 15 minutes it dawned on me that we did not receive our little local weekly newspaper yesterday. So I email the editor asking what had happened. Very nicely, of course. And then my phone rang– a local number I did not recognize and hesitated to answer, but I did.
“Merika?” he asked when I said hello.
“This is [fill in his name here] at the [fill in name of my little local weekly newspaper here].”
He informed me that several people in our general area did not get the paper and he doesn’t know why. He got it to the post office– it comes in the mail– as usual. He instructed me to call– call!– him if it does not arrive in today’s mail.
And another thing that probably does not happen where you live. This was yesterday at about on o’clock. There were two does (in the shadows) and this young one. It walked along the fence line until Missy spied it from her perch at the end of the bed in front of the window.
