It is not Christmas

That’s like real snow. In February. I’ve experienced such in my younger years and had hoped to avoid it going forward.

FYI just checked all of the Mississippi road, emergency, weather sites. Aweful. More rain, flooding, storms, tornados to come this afternoon.

    1. Storms have moved through back home but I just looked at a few sites and there was a *lot* of damage. A few people died. Building collapsed on one when a tornado struck. Another’s truck got swept into a flooded culvert. …

I know flooding isn’t that common in your general area, but looking at one photo of a fire truck that was swept off the road…it occurred to me that it might be a good idea to paint (or use metal strips) on the telephone poles to give an indication of the depth of water on some of the roads that have water flows when there’s flooding. I doubt that fire truck would have entered the waterway if they realized how deep the water was…but without something to gauge the depth- how can you know if the water is 6 inches or 6 ft. Welll 6 ft probably would be noticeable…!!

      All is well. On the way back from the little regional airport this afternoon, we noted where the roads had been washed over. You can tell by the direction of the debris scatter.

      But all is well. Happy to be back on the Farm.

      The Farm sitters did an excellent job! Recorded each & every single piece of meat– item, size, sell by date– they helped themselves to out of the deep freeze! Made record tending easy!
