I’m working on a longish random thoughts post. But I just came across this:

You should also stock up on canned foods that contain liquid, such as tomatoes, beans, and tuna, according to Pike. The excess liquid can be used to cook dried food like rice and pasta. (Make sure you have a can opener.)

Let me offer some unsolicited advise:

IF YOU ARE NOT ACCUSTOMED TO EATING CANNED OR DRIED BEANS ON A FAIRLY REGULAR BASIS, BEGINNING TO EAT THEM WHEN YOU ARE QUARANTINED IS NOT A GOOD IDEA.

And yes. I did go there with triple overplayed emphasis.

And who the hell cooks pasta in tuna water? How many cans of tuna would it take to get enough water? Good grief.

Wait! There’s more:

Some people under home quarantine told the Associated Press that they have taken the opportunity to binge Netflix shows and read some books.

In the case of a home quarantine, your mental health should also be taken into account.

Make sure to have entertainment items on hand such as books, board games, and card games.

  1. And wine. Nowhere have I seen the importance of having wine during your home quarantine. I suppose having a wine bottle opener would also be advantageous.
