A different sort of challenge

This has been making the rounds: ‘I challenge you all to give me a properly written English sentence with the word ‘am’ without ‘I’ next to it.’

You can do it, but it’s harder than it might first appear (And adding adverbs between them doesn’t count, neither does regurgitating the above sentence)

Think about this as you go about your day.

Is ir really worth the effort? ‘am’ is a verb used with the first person singular – which is ‘I’. Grammatically, that’s how it is intended to be used.

    Now. About that “you all”…
Why not just “you”, which is both singular _and_ plural (although I recognize the regional application) !

  2. Yeah…. ” ..Who am”
They didn’t say that “I am” couldn’t be in the sentence at all,, did they? just that it had to be used without the I…
    Gotta specify _all_ the rules!

  3. This is easy! I love am radio!! It is 10:00am!
It is I who am relieved!

    1. Excellent! The only thing I could think of was:

      “I,” she said, “am.”

      But yours are way better!
