Mary Poppins | I did not remember there was so much animation

That pretty much sums it up.

It’s a great movie. Only $3.99 for 48 hours.

In-Laws are loving it. Singing along. As we all are.

We will finish it up tomorrow night. Jane & Michael Banks are going to go to work with their dad, George. Marry Poppins has arranged this. George will have his eyes wide opened, as they say.

Talked to my mom today. She had some insights on our “company” as she calls our current situation– hosting the In-Laws. They are the same age, and as Mom is happy to be puttering in her garden and not feeling too much pain (niece Sarah washed her car, bro Mikey & SiL tend to her), she has sympathy for John & Bobbie. They are away from home. Mom’s sure Bobbie appreciates eating on the dishes she gave me. There was some talk of Aunt Margaret. Mom says she sees her place in the grand scheme of things as passing along things to the next generation. Mom & Dad did a good job of priming the next next generation to appreciate what would be passed along.

  1. Mary Poppins is a favorite in our house. We haven’t watched it in a while, but it was a regular selection for a while. The boy loved grabbing anything with a stick and doing the “steppy toyme” dance.

    1. It’s great. And excellent tunes to have running through your head. Supercalafrgilisticexbealadocious (sp?)
