Percolator

We’ve seen this before but it’s a good one.

  1. I don’t drink coffee anymore…but none of the above look like the percolator I started out with!
Well…actually, when we first got married, we didn’t even have a percolator. I made boiled coffee. Carefully. Made a good size pot, then strained it into a jar to save for the rest of the week. It worked. But you don’t actually boil it…just put the coffee grounds into the boiling water, turn it off and let it sit for 5 or 10 minutes.

I mentioned that we’re spending a lot of time watching the old westerns…coffee is omnipresent. Where did they get coffee from? I never thought about it much before! But seeing the land, knowing how unpopulated it was, knowing how limited resources were…I have to wonder! If you believe what they present, there was _never_ a shortage of coffee or liquor! Interesting.

    1. That’s an excellent question. Cowboys would have a chuck wagon. But a bunch of guys riding around…? Here’s another thing. Why aren’t they all deaf? Never see John Wayne wearing ear protection when he’s shooting things up.
