First– rest assured that the Tip Jar here is an official and secure Word Press widget. I tested it myself. Works great!

My current goal is $625. That’s the cost of a complete 10 volume set of Toynbee’s The Study of History. [Link goes to a post about the books and the goal.]

To begin, click on either the Tip Jar on the home page, or the occasional link at the bottom of an individual post.

Clicking either one will open this screen. It’s not a pop up so it should open even if pop ups are disabled.

Enter any dollar amount greater than $5.00 ($5.01 works!), choose the frequency, fill in the rest, and hit “Tip!”

When you click “Tip!” this replaces the prior screen. You can leave me a message if you’d like. In addition to the transaction number, the date and time, and well as the amount will be filled in. Your tip will show up on your credit card statement as a payment made to Big Food, Big Garden, Big Life.

Hit “Email Receipt” and the screen will indicate that the email has been sent.

It’s that simple!
