I typed those words.

I’m not happy with the very end of the ending, but the words are there, now filed under “edit,” which is way better than words filed under “in my head.”

Near as I can tell I started in late 2017, worked on it into 2018, then abandoned Miss Missy’s School until August of this year– about the time I was finally able to start pecking at the key board with my right hand, I think.

So getting knocked over by Rocky & Missy and busting up my distal radius real good and having surgery … was a blessing in disguise. Heh. Or maybe it was.

Next up is cleaning up some loose ends. Accomplished the particularly difficult one today. And then we move on to the ‘Mr. Big Food and I read the whole thing aloud’ phase. Edits. Then there’s convincing Miss M she needs to do the final edit. No one is more brutal than Miss M when it comes to editing. No one. But her tie dye business is really taking off, and she’s got a four year old who can prattle off cube roots of whole numbers and who wants to be an astronaut to tend to so who knows how much guilt I can muster in the service of editing. Then soliciting readers for comments. (This is where, Dear… Readers, come in.)

Daughter C will need to do 21 illustrations and as many sketches.

Kat? Ima probably gonna need Kat’s help with the whole Amazon publishing thing.

But. As of 6:01pm Central, it’s done.

BBQed chicken marinated in some Korean-inspired concoction on the grill tonight. Looking forward to it!
