The menu for the last tailgate Mr. Big Food and I did.
For five years, Mr. Big Food and I, along with some of his colleagues, cooked for one A&S Tailgate each year. From 2016-2018 the two of us were in charge of the whole sheebang– cooking, setting up and taking down. I was also in charge of the A&S Tailgate trailer (more on this to come). By the end of 2018, the novelty had worn off and so in 2019 the dean took over the setting up and breaking down, and we were only directly responsible for feeding the crowd (which averaged 120/tailgate). Keep in mind that feeding the crowd entails grocery shopping, food preparation and cooking, and transporting it the 40 miles from the farm to campus.
I just finished scrolling through four pages of “tailgate” post listings. This will be our September theme.
I know there are some who aren’t college football fans, much less SEC fans. Why should you care?
Because the food and menus are outstanding!
Plus it will be fun to see how danged good we got at putting on tailgates!
