I wrote some time ago about the structure of The Big Food Manual and Survivalist Flourishing Guide–it’s a sight to behold and we should revisit it some dark winter week when Missy isn’t scheduled to have surgery, company isn’t coming, and we don’t have a big project in the works. For now, let’s just look at that nice even number, 200.
Two hundred homemade ice cream recipes is a lot. Certainly more than one week’s worth.
Here’s the schemata (as of now, we’ll see where real life carries us):
Sunday for those that do not have an electric ice cream maker, we’ll start off with refrigerator tray (not an ice cube tray, all will be explained) and hand freezer (which give proportions of ice and rock salt) recipes.
Monday basic recipes and I’ll sift through to get varying levels of time and effort
Tuesday the fruit ice creams
Wednesday sorbets and other ices
Thursday nuts and other add-ins
Friday chocolate, caramel and so forth
If you have a favorite store-bought ice cream flavor and would like recipe for the homemade version, just let me know and I’ll be sure to post. It would be hard to believe it wouldn’t be among the 200.
