What more is there to say?

I see it’s been a couple of years since I posted this.

I want to see the trash truck come rumbling up the driveway. Followed by the propane truck and the mail man’s jeep.

How’s everyone holding up?

  1. I was in Ohio when I was around 10 years old. The street in front of the house (my grandparents’ house) was signed, “Emergency Snow Street. No parking when snow depth exceeds 3 inches. Violators will be towed.”

This was, presumably, for the snowplows to be able to clear the entire road.

One very snowy afternoon, I got together with a neighbor kid, and we built a “snowman” that looked like a snowed under Volkswagen ‘Bug’ that had been left along the roadway.

At around 7pm, a tow truck showed up to tow the car away. The driver dug, with his hand, up to his elbow before realizing what was happening.

We were upstairs, and behind closed windows so he couldn’t see us. We laughed. The driver used many “bad words”.

  2. It’s still colder than usual here. No trash pick up but propane was delivered and the mailman managed to make the route. If we make it past Monday’s freezing rain, things should return to normal winter
