The “book” on the cover is a “hornbook.” Printed on one side only and glued in some fashion to a slab of wood with a handle and covered with horn (substance from animals’ horns) or mica. As with this one, they typically had alphabets, numbers, and Christian or other moral readings. Further researches are necessary.
