The geese are back! They were here last year, too but they decided not to stay and make a nest. A guy was doing some tree cutting on the peninsula and they apparently didn’t care for that and went on their way. I’ve seen the two of them again several days in a row. Today

I was about to say he was out of the picture, but nothing could be further from the truth. And my how they’ve grown! Not babies any more! I feel sorry for folks who don’t have a pond with geese to drive past on their way to town.

We’ve been working very hard the last few days. And we’ve been eating well. Tonight Mr. Big Food made gumbo. He was going to make it in the gumbo pot on the propane cooker on the patio but it rained. Anyhoo… . This gumbo started, of course, with a roux and was made with goose stock.
