I think I mentioned that I have finished the Primer on Greek Literature. The last chapter was on the Decadence. It was depressing. I did go back and read some of the primary literature from the earlier period (e.g., Demosthenes’ On the Crown, 330 B.C.), but I can’t stop thinking of the Decadence (~300-30 B.C.).
