Fried Noodle Rings

Makes 6 servings


  • 2 cups fine dry noodles
  • 1 tsp salt
  • Crisco for deep frying


  • Place noodles in boiling salted water. Cook until tender. Drain but do not wash the noodles. Place in greased individual ring molds. Chill until firm.
  • Remove rings from molds. Fry in deep Crisco heated to 365 (or when an inch cube of bread browns in 60 seconds) 2 to 3 minute. (If Crisco is too hot, the cold ring will separate.) Drain on absorbent paper. Place in oven to reheat just before serving.


Serve with Seafood Neptune, Creamed Chicken, or Chow Mein
