“It is supposed to make 4 servings, but we two usually eat it all up though neither of us has an enormous appetite.”


  • ½ lb lean pork cut into very thin slices
  • 1 Tbsp fat or oil
  • Salt pepper, to taste
  • ½ C water or stock
  • 2 C cooked noodles “4-ounce package”
  • 1 C celery sliced
  • 1 C French-style green beans thin sliced, fresh or frozen
  • Tbsp grated onion
  • 2 Tbsp soy sauce


  • Brown pork in hot fat, add salt and pepper, and hot water or stock, celery, green beans, onion, and soy sauce, cover, and cook 20 minutes. “If using left-over pork, put that in last, without browning, for about 5 minutes.” Combine cooked noodles with meat mixture and cook together about 5 minutes.
